Forum: GratefulDead Subject: Dylan and the Dead Recording Sessions

I recently found a set of rehearsal sessions from the Dylan and the Dead tour. There are three volumes each with two discs. The music is great, but what jazzes me so totally is the raw interaction. There's a genesis to the sound, certainly. There's a lot of banter and interplay. There's Jerry on Pedal Steel. And, of course, there's Dylan.

Like the outtakes and recording sessions for some of the great studio releases, this shows a level of insight into the creative process. It also shows a bunch of guys who respect each other, and who enjoy each other's company.

I'm attaching a Rar file for those who know what to do with it...

This is great stuff; the big disappointment for me listening to it is how few of the songs they eventually rehearsed for the shows - don't you know that Boy in the Bubble would have blown a few minds on tour!
